First ever robotics competition for colleges begins March 21

The first ever Robotics competition for the college students is going to start in Bangladesh on March 21.

The competition will be organised by Japan-based education technology company Venturas Ltd and will be supported by Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA), Embassy of Japan, Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) and ICT Ministry, said a statement.

 

YORIKO UEDA, Founder and CEO, Venturas Ltd. said, "We are very happy to arrange this Robotics competition with United International University (UIU). Youths are the future of the country and by this competition we are expecting that it will help the students to learn and develop skills regarding IT and science.

 

The two-day long competition begins on the new campus of United International University (UIU) on March 21.

Students from 11 top colleges in Bangladesh will participate in the event.

The colleges are Notre Dame College, Viquarunnisa Noon College, Rajuk Uttara Model College, Adamjee Cantonment College, B A F Shaheen College, Trust College, Bir Shreshtha Noor Mohammad Public College, SOS Hermann Gmeiner College, St. Joseph College, Chittagong Grammar School and Govt. Science College in Dhaka.

The winning team of the competition will get Taka 0.1 million as prize money.
