A college girl confessed a bone-chilling story of killing her boyfriend as he was cheating on her, before a court here on Tuesday.
Senior Judicial Magistrate Court Judge Towhidul Islam recorded her and her father's confession in the morning and sent them to jail.
Police arrested the college girl Farzana Aktar and her father Monju Mia on Monday for interrogation and subsequently recovered the body of the victim from a water body as per their confession.
The victim Ujjal Mia, a college student and son of Shah Alam of Murakori village of Lakhai upazila, went missing two months back on February 20.
Investigation officer of the case Ajay Chandra Deb said Ujjal went to Farzana's house on February 20 night in Dharmapur village, as her family members were in Dhaka.
Eventually, a dispute between the duo occurred when another girlfriend called him over cell phone.
Being agitated, Farzana at one stage killed Ujjal hitting him with stone and confirmed his death by slitting his wrists and strangulating him.
Later that night, she concealed the body creating a hole in the ground in another room of their house and informed her parents about it the next morning.
After 10/12 days, Farzana's father exhumed the body and dumped it in a Medir bil (water body) around one and half kilometers away from their house, reports UNB.
