A lecturer of Rajshahi University School and College was arrested on Sunday for rape attempt on a sixth grader girl.
Police said they arrested the Lecturer Durul Huda from Kajla area of the city, reports UNB.
He was shown arrested in a case filed by the victim’s mother. A court sent him to jail when he was produced before the court, said Hafizur Rahman Hafiz, officer-in-charge of Motihar Police Station.
According to case details, Durul called the girl to a store room around 8:00am on October 16 and attempted to rape her.
Neighbours came to the girl’s rescue when she shouted out for help. Durul managed to flee.
