The Awami League general secretary has claimed that BNP has declared a 'war' against the court after having failed to launch a movement.
Obaidul Quader on Wednesday said, "BNP doesn't obey the law and it doesn't want to abide by the rule of law, too."
He was speaking at a workers' rally of district Awami League on Pabna Police Lines ground.
Also the Road Transport and Bridges Minister, Quader said the country's people had never responded to BNP's movement and will not do in future. "There'll be no high tide in the dead river of BNP's movement. Their movement is now in Khaleda Zia's vanity bag," he said.
Also, he said the government does not interfere in the court and Awami League always respectful to the law. "Sons of ruling party MPs, pro-AL mayors and Chhatra League leaders and activists had to land in jail."
Mentioning that BNP has some pathological liars whose job is to spread falsehood, the ruling party leader said, "The sheaf of paddy has now turned into a stomach poison for people for this."
UNB said district AL President and Land Minister Shamsur Rahman Sherif presided over the meeting where local MPs Golam Faruk Khandakar Prince, Azizul Huq Arzu and Mokbul Hossain, and Pabna Zila Parishad Chairman Rezaul Karim were present.
