BNP becomes ‘parasite party’, says Shajahan

Shipping Minister Shajahan Khan today (Thursday) claimed that BNP has now become a ‘parasitic political party’ as it intends to take advantage by capitalising on other’s movements.

He said this while addressing a scholarship-giving ceremony at Madaripur Zila Parishad hall room.

The Shipping Minister said BNP leaders hatched conspiracy to politicise different recent non-political movements, including the students’ protest demanding safe roads and quota reforms movement, to create anarchy in the country.

He said BNP always spread falsehood and rumours over different issues, claiming that BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman led the conspiracy from London.

But, Shajahan Khan said, their conspiracy will never be successful as the country’s people do not support BNP because of their misdeeds.

Madaripur Zila Parishad chairman Miazuddin Khan chaired the function while Deputy Commissioner Wahidul Islam, Superintendent of Police Subrata Kumar Halder, Zila Parishad Chief Executive Officer Russell Sabrin and Freedom Fighter’s Commander Shahjahan Hawlader were, among others, present, reports BSS.

About 228 students were given scholarships of Tk 570,000 at the function under an initiative of the Zila Parishad.
