Fire breaks out at Foreign Ministry

A fire broke out at the Foreign Ministry in Segunbagicha area of Dhaka city on Wednesday night.

Md Jewel, telephone operator at the Fire Service and Civil Defence control room, said the fire originated in the budget section of the ministry building around 10:45pm.

On information, two fire-fighting units rushed to the spot and extinguished the blaze aby11:45, he said, adding the reason behind the fire could not be known immediately.

The extent of damage was yet to be ascertained.
