A six-storey residential building has caught fire in Dhaka's Banani just a day after 25 people were killed and 73 others injured in a fire in a commercial building there on Thursday.
No casualties took place in the incident.
The fire originated from the kitchen room on the fourth floor of the building no 42 on Road no 23 around 2:30 pm, local media report from the scene.
Panicked people scrambled out of the building in the wake of the fire.
A duty office at the Bangladesh Fire Service and Civil Defence Department control room, Ershad Hossain said the fire was now under control.
He said they had sent two of their units to the scene, but well before their arrival, the residents managed to douse the fire.
