Sheikh Ashraful Haque, the former mayor of Satkhira municipality, passed away on Thursday at his Sultanpur residence in the district town at the age of 90.
He breathed his last around 7:15am, reports UNB.
He is survived by his wife, three sons and two daughters.
Ashraful was elected the chairman of Satkhira municipality thrice. He was also the president of Awami League’s municipality unit and vice-president of the district unit.
His namaz-e-janaza will be held after Asr prayer at Sultanpur Club ground in the district town.
