Eid prayers: When and where

The main prayer congregation for Eid-ul-Azha will be held at National Eidgah in Dhaka city at 8am Saturday.


Baitul Mukarram National Mosque’s Senior Imam Maulana Mohammad Mizanur Rahman will lead the prayers at the ground located near the Supreme Court.


Worshippers will gather at the Baitul Mukarram National mosque where five consecutive congregations to be held at 7am, 8am, 9am, 10am and 11am.


In Dhaka south, 228 prayer congregations will be held on Eid day, said Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) official Uttam Kumar Roy.


Each of the 57 wards of the DSCC will have four prayer congregations.


At Dhaka north, 180 Eid prayer congregations - five under each of the 36 wards - will be held, said Dhaka North City Corporation officer Enayet Hossain.


The parliament’s South Plaza will hold a prayer gathering at 7:30am. Another will be held at Banani Central Mosque at 8:30am.


Dhanmondi's Eidgah Jame Masjid will start prayers at 8am.


Two congregations will be held at the Dhaka University Central Mosque at 8am and 9am. Two more will be hosted in the yards of Muslim Hall and Shahidulla Hall from 8am.


Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology or BUET will also hold its congregation at 8am. Gendaria Eid Committee will host its Eid prayers in Jagannath University at 8am.


At Nilkhet, the two prayers at Nilkhet Mariam Bibi Shahi Mosque will start at 8am and 10am. The Airplane mosque of Elephant Road will start prayers at 8am.


The Naya Paltan Jame Masjid will begin Eid congregations at 8am.


Dewanbagh Sharif's Babe Rahmat will have three congregations -- at 8am, 9am and 10am.


The Ambar Shah Shahi Jame Masjid in Karwan Bazar will have its congregation at 8am.


The Tara Masjid in Old Dhaka, Dhalpur Narkel Bagan Masjid in Jatrabari and Kamrangirchar Central Eidgah will each hold two congregations from 8am and 9am.


Kazipara Central Jame Masjid will have three congregations, starting at 7:30am, 8:30am and 9:15am. There will be two more at Hazaribagh Park at 7am and 8am.


Mohammadpur's Masjid-e-Taiyabiyah will host prayers at 8am and 9am. Pallima Sangsad Maidan will have a congregation at 7:45am.


At West Agargaon, the Darul Iman Jame Masjid will start prayers at 8am. Demra's Dagairbazar Graveyard Eidgah will start Eid prayers at 8:30am.


Bongshal Ahle Hadis Bara Jame Masjid will start prayers at 7:30am.


Eid prayers will start at Basabo Chayabithi Jame Masjid at 8am, at Dakshin Basabo Balur Math at 7:15am and 8:30am. – agencies
