Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) on Saturday requested the city dwellers to refrain from publishing photos of stray dog removal from the city street as they are fake and distorted.

The city corporation raised the matter in a press release, reports UNB.

Some photos are circulating on social media that show stray dogs being killed and boarded onto vehicles or their bodies are dumped beside the drains, DSCC said.

The dogs are boarded onto the vehicles after making them unconscious by temporary vaccination during the stray dog removing programme, the release said.

So there is no chance of dumping a large number of dogs beside any drain after vaccination, it added.

Moreover, some pictures were published in such a way which seemingly suggests that DSCC has killed the stray dogs, DSCC said.

These pictures are completely fake and distorted, DSCC said, and requested the city dwellers not to share them on social media.
