Hundi trader held with Tk 1.3 million in Beanpole

Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) detained a hundi trader along with Tk 1.3 million from Uttarpara in Putkhali bordering area of Benapole on Tuesday night.

The arrestee has been identified as Rony Ahmed, 36, son of Abul Kashem of Uttarpara village.

Tipped off, a team of BGB conducted a drive in Khalsi area and arrested Rony along with the money, said Lieutenant Colonel Imran Ullah of BGB-21, Khulna.

A motorcycle was also seized during the drive, according to a UNB report.

Later, the detainee was handed over to Benapole Port Police Station, the BGB official added.
