BGB seizes Phensidyl, hemp at Benapole

Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) recovered 1,140 bottles of phensidyl and 28 kg of hemp worth Tk 6 lakh from Roghunathpur border village of Benapole on Monday night.

On secret information, a team of BGB members conducted a drive at the village and seized the phensidyl and hemp in an abandoned condition, said Lt Col Ariful Haque, the Commanding Officer of BGB-49 battalion.

A case was filed with Benapole Port Police Station in this connection, a news agency reported.
