BGB detains two drug pedlars at Benapole


Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) detained two drug traders along with 20 kilograms of hemps from a paddy field at Benapole on Tuesday night.

Lt Col Ariful Haque, commanding officer of BGB-49 said BGB members from Ragunathpur Camp raided here at about 8:30 pm and detained Md Ziur Rahman, 40, son of Md Mojibur Rahman and Israfil, 30, son of Abdur Razzak and recovered 20 kilograms of hemps from their possession.

Later, the detainees and the seized drugs worth about Tk 70,000 were handed over to Benapole Port Police Station, says a UNB report.

A case was filed.
