A coronavirus patient committed suicide on Friday night in the capital.
The deceased was identified as Hasib Iqbal Haque Moni (50) who allegedly took his life around 10:30 pm on Friday by jumping from the 10th floor of city's Mugda General Hospital.
Sub-inspector of Mugda Police Station Md Shariful Islam told the media that Hasib Iqbal had admitted in the hospital for Covid-19 treatment.
He said that primarily they (police) were informed that Hasib had left a note at his hospital cabin on the 10th floor before jumping from the floor.
He, however, said that they were investigating into the cause of his death and would get the clear picture of his death after getting the post mortem report from Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH).
Son of late Emdadul Haque, Hasib lived at a house at Eskaton area in the capital.
