A covered van driver was killed as a container from a lorry fell on his vehicle at Chhoto Kumira at Sitakunda upazila in Chattogram on Friday morning.
The deceased was identified Md Royal, 40, hailing from Noakhali district.
The container from the lorry fell on the covered van around 10:30am, leaving its driver dead on the spot, said Harun Pasha, senior officer of Kumira Fire Service Station.
On information, a team rushed in and recovered the body from the spot, he said, reports UNB.
