A truck driver was killed when a thunderbolt struck him at Khudir Batala in Charghat upazila of Rajshahi district on Tuesday night, reports UNB.
The incident occurred when victim Hebol Ali, 55, son of Maru Sardar of Sardarpara village in the upazila, got down from his truck to have a cup of tea at 8:30pm, witnesses said.
Mozammel Haq, duty officer of Charghat upazila health complex, said Hebol died on the spot.
