BSF shoots Bangladesh dead along Dinajpur border

A Bangladeshi national was gunned down by Border Security Force (BSF) of India at Borogram border point in Kamalpur union under Dinajpur sadar upazila on Monday night.

The deceased was identified as Mozaffar Hossain, son of late Taher Ali, a resident of Atoir village.

Col Saiful Islam, commanding officer of BGB-29 battalion, said that a team of BSF-41 battalion opened fire on a group of Bangladeshi national numbering 7-8 near 313 CL pillar area at night, leaving Mozaffar dead on the spot, news agency UNB reports on Tuesday.

BGB sent a letter to BSF for holding a flag meeting. The body will be handed over to them after the meeting, said the BGB official.
