A student of Dhaka University was injured in an attack allegedly by some activists of Bangladesh Chhatra league (BCL) of Bijoy Ekattor Hall unit on Thursday night over a trifling matter.
The injured was Ismail Ahmed Mubin, a Masters student of DU Anthropology department and also a resident of Bijoy Ekattor Hall, reports UNB.
Witnesses said Mubin slightly pushed Arif Mahmud, vice president of DU BCL unit, at general store of the hall at night.
Following the incident, some BCL men dragged Mubin out of the store and beat him up mercilessly, leaving him injured.
The injured was admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital. After primary treatment, he was sent to Dhaka University Medical Centre.
