Bangladeshis in India to be brought back after ‘normalisation’ of situation

The 2,500 Bangladeshis, who are stuck in India, will be brought back after normalisation of the current situation there, said the government on Friday.

All kinds of domestic travel has been closed from March 25 to April 14 in India, and their government has also banned arrival of any foreigners including non-resident Indians to the country, said a foreign ministry statement.

They are also discouraging travelling of any foreign nationals to depart India, said the release.

Citing these problems the ministry said that Bangladesh government is committed to bring back the Bangladeshi national after normalisation of the situation.

It also said that the Bangladesh High Commission in India is keeping regular contacts with the Bangladeshis

They are also trying to resolve the monetary and other problems, the ministry claimed.

According to the ministry, out of the 2,500 Bangladeshis, around 1000 are students.

It may be mentioned that the sufferings of the Bangladeshis, who are now stuck in India, has been projected in several media reports for some days.
